REIGNITED Atlanta Public Opening

REIGNITED marks the return of artist Ken Oswald after a decade-long departure from the studio—a period spent traveling internationally and studying culinary traditions across cultures. The exhibition functions not simply as a reintroduction of an artist, but as the ignition of a practice that has matured through lived experience, political engagement, and intellectual exploration.

Oswald’s work occupies a compelling space between street aesthetics, historical archives, and critical cultural inquiry. Drawing from the visual legacies of protest movements, Black intellectual history, and contemporary urban mark-making, his paintings and mixed-media collages operate as sites of both disruption and reconstruction.

Central to the exhibition is Oswald’s engagement with historical text and typography.
